Scientific Games and Loto-Quebec to Extend their Impressive 50-Year Partnership

Scientific Games and Loto-Quebec to Extend their Impressive 50-Year Partnership

Scientific Games has signed an agreement with Loto-Quebec to extend their partnership until January 31, 2022. So, Loto-Quebec fans and players can rest assured that they have at least one more year of new and exciting games to look forward to. The deal covers the providing of hybrid lottery games and instant games.

The agreement is a continuation of a very successful collaboration that has spanned over 50 years, guaranteeing one of the best local gaming fields in Canada with offerings that appeal to large swathes of people. This comes as no surprise since players are offered a diverse portfolio of games, making the collaboration a highly popular one with the people. The partnership is an idyllic one with players being able to play attractive games that might change their lives for good while both Scientific Games and Loto-Quebec reap the benefits of a fruitful deal.

This is also a change of events from Loto-Quebec’s uncertain future last year.

This week was special because of a newly-inked extension of an agreement that ensures plenty of surprises for Quebec lottery enthusiasts. Scientific Games was very clear that it wants to continue overseeing the gaming field in Quebec and all its products for online and in-person gambling. The extension of agreement particularly affects instant games and hybrid lottery games.

The original agreement was inked seven years ago, and locals have been able to enjoy various gaming offerings since then. The games are all produced in a manufacturing facility in Montreal, so a partnership between the big gaming technology provider and the local Crown corporation was the natural next step. The agreement holds until January 31, 2022, but is expected to be extended once again.

“Scientific Games produced Loto-Québec’s very first instant game 50 years ago, and the tradition of our partnership will continue through this contract extension,” Loto-Québec’s senior director for strategy and marketing communications Marie-Claudel Lalonde said.

John Schulz, Senior Vice President Instant Products for Scientific Games, said, “Our entire team in Montreal looks forward to continuing to advance the lottery’s game innovation for the enjoyment of Québec players with products driven by analytics and insights that are unmatched in the lottery industry.”

Scientific Games created its very first instant game 50 years ago, and it took the local crowds by a storm when it was released by the Crown corporation. It was the first time that the residents of Quebec experienced the thrill of instant gaming and the potentiality of forever changing their lives. Ever since then, Scientific Games has remained loved by the crowds as it keeps surpassing all expectations with its new products. So far, the technology provider for the gaming industry has developed in excess of 4,500 games, including classics such as Boîte à Bingo, Ultime and La Poule aux Oeufs d’Or. This has also resulted in a bigger job market for the locals with loads of new positions created. Regular financial support from gaming revenue allocations have also been helping various programs in the province.

It is to be noted that Scientific Games is the supplier of every Top 10 Instant Lotto game in the world. It also generates upward of 70% of all international sales of instant gaming products. The gaming and lottery technology giant takes its social responsibility seriously, being involved in many responsible gaming campaigns around the world, including the Gift Responsibly, Lottery Tickets Aren’t Child’s Play campaign. Scientific Games has been a supporter of this campaign since 2018.
