Playtech Reveals Mansion Collaboration extension & New Sports Betting Deal with OPAP18th Jun 2020 |
Playtech, a major market leader in the gambling and financial trading industry, will be extending its long-term collaboration with online gambling company Mansion for another five years and has entered a new online sports betting collaboration with Greek operator OPAP.
Through the collaboration with gambling company Mansion, Playtech will be expanding the reach of its collaboration with Mansion in two of the leading regulated gambling markets – UK and Italy. The collaboration has followed the recent commitment which Mansion made to imply Live Casino studio space.
At the time when the extension of the deal was announced, the Chief Operating Officer of Playtech, Shimon Akad, described Mansion as a key long-term partner for the gambling technology company. On the other hand, Mansion has also confirmed the importance of the strong and successful relationship they have with Playtech in the light of the dedicated Live Casino’s recent launch.
Under the new deal with OPAP, the Playtech BGT Sports (PBS) division will be providing the operator with its new Quantum sports betting digital platform. OPAP will be the first operator to use the PBS digital sportsbook offering as part of its Quantum roll out. PBS has said the new platform will help OPAP to tap into new opportunities in, as well as provide it with a toolkit to view and manage its sports betting operations.
PBS already provides software and services across OPAP’s retail network, as well as over the counterpoints of sale, as part of a deal agreed in 2017.
“The introduction of the PBS platform, across all of our retail betting outlets in Greece, has been a critical element in the improvement and growth of OPAP’s retail sports betting performance,” OPAP chief executive Damian Cope said. He also added to say that expanding the partnership with the adoption of the Quantum digital platform will be providing OPAP with a number of exciting new opportunities.
PBS chief executive Armin Sageder added: “The result of over two years of development, we have no doubt that Quantum Digital will prove to be a growth driver for OPAP throughout 2020 and beyond. We look forward to a continued successful relationship together for many years to come.”
