Upcoming matches

This weekend we can look forward to many exciting matches in the Premier League. On Saturday, Swansea and Arsenal is playing against each other, in addition to Chelsea and Leicester, Manchester City and Everton, and Stoke against Sunderland. The match between Manchester City and Everton is going to be particularly interesting, considering the fact that Everton is only four points behind the leading team. But then again, it is debatable whether or not Everton can climb up to a medal-awarding place on the table. Chelsea has a solid team, not to mention their manager Antonio Conte, who has proven to be excellent at his job. Chelsea is only one point behind Everton, which most certainly puts a lot of pressure on Everton. We must also remember Manchester United – a team of exceptionally good players. Although they’ve had a few bumps on the Premier League-road, they still have a golden opportunity for a medal or, at the very least, to climb up to fourth place on the table. And their manager Jose Mourinho – with no less than three Premier League titles to add to his already impressive resume – is certainly a good reason to believe that Manchester United is an opponent to be feared.Aside from the medal battles at the top of the table, we can also look forward to Swansea’s upcoming matches. With their new manager, Bob Bradley, they certainly have a chance to give us a remarkable show, trying to climb up the table. We can now dare to believe they could end up in 12th or even 9th place, which is going to be a huge jump for the team, considering, their current 17th place.

Hull City gets Mike Phelan full-time

After Steve Bruce’s departure this summer, Mike Phelan has been Hull City’s temporary manager. He was quickly voted manager of the month for August, when Hull City won their first two games this season. He is now their new head coach, and this is the first full-time management role of Phelan’s career. He was previously Manchester United’s assistant-manager and ”hand of the king” to Alex Ferguson. Hull City will be meeting Bournemouth this Saturday, and it is going to be interesting to see if they can pass Bournemouth on the table – Hull City’s current score is 7 points while Bournemouth has 8.
