Today’s Fixtures – 27. June

We do not have any early games today, so we will all have some extra time to enjoy the sun before the games kick off. This match day is by far the most exciting one in the round of 16. We have one big game between two rivalling footballing giants, and we have one game where the biggest underdog seen so far in the Euro will face England, the home of football.

Italy – Spain

Since Buffon was the best Italian player during the last games, we know they are not going to concede a lot of goals. Due to the fact that Spain has no strikers, we can also be sure that this will be a game where Spain will have a hard time hitting the back of the net. The biggest problem for Italy is also their strikers. Their team is very strong in every link but this one.

England – Iceland

England has not been playing above their average performance in the Euros, finishing second behind Wales during the group stage. The game against Iceland will be a tough one, one that England could lose, though it’s more likely they will draw. Seeing England’s long history of losing on penalties, we can be pretty sure that if England draws during the game, Iceland will win on penalties.
