UK Player Becomes Overnight Multi-Millionaire Playing Mega Moolah
Mega Moolah is a bit of a legend when it comes to making people millionaires from one day to the next. Players flock to this infamous slot game, hoping they will join the legions of lucky gamers who have had their fortunes flipped with the spin of the reels.
And it has just done it again. The world-renowned slot from Microgaming has just paid out a tremendous £2,772,916.45 jackpot at Genesis Casino, to a mysterious player based in Britain.
Who Was The Lucky Winner?
The winner was a player in the UK, who wished to keep their identity secret – presumably to avoid attracting too much media attention with their newfound fortune.
Luck was definitely on this player’s side as they placed a relatively modest £6.25 bet on the progressive jackpot slot game. They scooped up the whopping seven-figure prize at Genesis Casino on 8th November 2019.
As with all wins on Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network, the multi-million prize will be awarded as a lump sum and not in annuities – meaning that the player will get all their money in one go, and not in dribs and drabs (not that Lenny would mind either way, mind you.)
Andrew Clucas, Microgaming’s Chief Operation Officer, offered warm congratulations to the winner, and the casino which made their dreams come true.
“Congratulations to Genesis Casino and the lucky winner on this truly life-changing win. Mega Moolah has once again delivered an amazing payout,” Mr Clucas said.
“Our industry-leading progressive jackpot network has now paid out €1.1 billion and continues to lead the way, offering players thrilling and rewarding gameplay experiences.”
What did Genesis Casino have to say about the win?
Genesis Casino has been around since 2014, and is operated by Genesis Global Ltd, which is responsible for a number of other popular casinos, including Spinit, Casino Joy, Casino Gods, and the latest, Kassu Casino.
“We’re ecstatic for the player on their massive win on the Mega Moolah jackpot!” enthused Genesis Global CEO Ariel Reem.
“It’s been a thrilling ride, but one lucky player had to strike – congratulations from everyone at Genesis Casino! We look forward to seeing many more winners on our platform.”
Why is Mega Moolah still so popular?
You would think that after 13 years, Mega Moolah’s popularity would be on the wane – but this is far from the case.
Having launched in 2006, it rewards players generously, and like many of the other games on Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network, offers players a very real opportunity to win the big bucks.
So far in 2019 alone, Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network has paid out over €121 million across more than 1.7 million jackpots. Wins on the Microgaming network are paid in the currency in which the winner played the game, and then converted to EUR to keep track of the total payouts awarded.
More than 10 winners took home stunning seven or even eight-figure jackpots during the period, equating to more than €50 million in winnings.
There was a sizeable number of ‘smaller’ prizes as well – over 570 players took home a nice prize of €10,000 or more.
All Lenny wants for Christmas is a jackpot win on Mega Moolah!
