Wet and Wild26th Jul 2017 |
This week is another good week for sporting events. Between Swimming, Football, and Racing, sports fans have a lot of choice this week.
World Aquatics Championships
If you have been keeping up with the World Aquatics Championships in Budapest you know how exciting this year’s event has been. For this week, July 24th through July 30th, the action continues at two of the best locals in Budapest for swimming. On the 24th the competition will take place at the Dagaly Uszoarena, and then it will be at the Alfréd Hajós National Swimming Stadium for a day before returning to Dagaly for another two. Until the end of the week, all of the races will take place in either of these arenas. There are a lot of world-class swimmers competing so this should be a great week for spectators and swimmers alike.
Women’s Euro 2017
Another one for the football fans out there, we have the 2017 Women’s Championship taking place in Netherlands this year. There will be twelve teams which are organized into four main groups; Group A, Group B, Group C, and Group D, and they will each be competing in the knockout stage, the Bracket, the Quarter Finals, the Semi Finals, and for the win in the Final. Teams to watch out for are Netherlands, France, Germany, Switzerland, and England, although there are plenty of other competitors as well. If you love football, this competition is one not to be missed.
Hungarian Grand Prix
On July 28th – 30th get ready to fasten your seatbelts because the Hungarian Grand Prix is on! There will be many events to watch once this race gets started; including practice runs, qualifying runs, and then finally the 70-lap Formula 1 race.
The race will take place just north of Budapest on a track that has been in use since 1985. Many fantastic races have taken place at the well-known track, and this year’s is shaping up to be equally as exciting. The track itself sits in a large valley which is great for anyone watching in person as the stands are naturally elevated. The fact that the race is easily viewable has added a lot to the track’s popularity, and now it is one of the most famous circuits in Europe. It is also one of the safest, which gives the drivers the sense of security they need to push the limits of their vehicles. This definitely will not be an event that you will want to miss.
