Will Hughes to Play in the Premier League26th Jun 2017 |
While we are getting ready for the U-21 semi-finals we can say that it is now official that Will Hughes will play in the Premier League next season.
The games between England and Germany will always be classics, no matter the contexts in which they are played. That is why the entire country should be waiting in great excitement for tomorrow’s semi-final in the U-21 Euros tomorrow. Germany did not become winners of their group, a group that also featured Italy, Denmark and Czech Republic. It was Italy who won that group. But a 2nd place was just good enough to earn them a place in the semi-finals as the best 2nd placed team. England did very well in their group with Slovakia, Sweden and Poland. This game is the first semi-final, starting at Tychy Stadium in Tychy, Poland, at 5 o’clock English time. We will be able to see another great game at 8 o’clock the same day, when Spain will face Italy in Krakow.
Will Hughes to the Premier League
One man that we will get to see tomorrow is Watford’s newly signed Will Hughes. He was signed from Derby at a fee of 7 million Pounds. As everybody who plays Football Manager knows, Will Hughes has been considered one of the greatest talents of English football for some years now. Many have felt that he should have moved to a Premier League side some years ago. On the other hand, I believe that he has not done a bad choice by remaining as a key player in Derby rather than sitting on the bench in a club like Manchester City. The example of Jack Rodwell springs to mind. Anyway, he had to move to the Premier League at this time to really develop. Time will show as to how good he will really be.
Not a summer day is going by without some transfer rumours. Here are some of them. As always, take everything with a huge pinch of salt. Arsene Wenger and Pep Guardiola is said to be close to an agreement where Alexis Sanches is swapped for Sergio Aguero. Manchester United wants to spend 100 million Pounds on Harry Kane. Chelsea is said to have signed Alex Sandro from Juventus for a fee of 60 million pounds. Virgil van Dijk, Romelu Lukaku and Tiemoue Bakayoko might be heading towards Stamford Bridge as well.
